Surface Microbiology Sampling Tube

◆ This product is a blue polyester sponge pre-wetted with 0.9% normal saline or neutralizing buffer. It is mainly used for the sampling and detection of microorganisms (such as Salmonella, Listeria, Escherichia coli, etc.) on the surfaces of carcasses in slaughterhouses, food processing equipment, cold chain warehouses and other environmental surfaces.

◆ Made of polyester sponge material with strong water absorption and low linting tendency. Pre-wetting eliminates on-site solution preparation, improving sampling efficiency and standardization. The blue sponge facilitates visual inspection for residues.

◆ The sponge is pre-wetted with 10mL of liquid, with two mainstream formulations:

       A) 0.9% normal saline, commonly used for routine microbial sampling of carcasses;

       B) Neutralizing buffer, often used on surfaces of environments or equipment with disinfectant residues, which can neutralize quaternary ammonium salts, chlorine, etc., and protect microorganisms.

◆ Individually packaged in a self-sealing sampling bag, sterilized by irradiation with a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10-6.
