Westergren ESR Measuring Tubes, Manufactured from highly transparent polystyrene (PS) material, featuring clear graduations for precise reading by medical personnel.
How to Use
① Sample Preparation
Type A: After blood collection using Ø13×75 mm ESR vacuum tubes, gently invert the tube 8‑10 times to mix (avoid bubbles)
Type B: For syringe‑drawn samples, transfer blood to KJ823‑3 container and invert 8‑10 times.Place the tube vertically in the ESR rack.
② Insert Measuring Tube
Slowly insert the Westergren ESR measuring tube into the sample tube. *Type A: Remove the vacuum tube cap prior to insertion. Ensure the tube tip is immersed in the blood sample.
③ Adjust to Zero Mark
Gently press the measuring tube downward until the blood level aligns with the "0" graduation mark.
④ Reading Result
Let stand undisturbed at room temperature for exactly 1 hour.Report the erythrocyte sedimentation rate in mm/hr (millimeters of plasma column height)
