Saliva (Sputum) DNA Sample Collection Kit

Compared with blood-based DNA sample collection, saliva (sputum) DNA sample collection offers a non-invasive, pain-free alternative for DNA acquisition. It causes no discomfort to sample donors and is highly acceptable, thus maximizing the sampling scope for genetic research, and is particularly suitable for large-scale population surveys in molecular epidemiology. Saliva (sputum) DNA samples can be stored for years at room temperature, and are environmentally friendly and easy to transport.

The Saliva (Sputum) DNA Sample Collection Kit consists of a collection funnel and a DNA sample preservation tube, ensuring stable preservation of saliva (sputum) DNA samples. The DNA preservation solution pre-filled in the tube rapidly inhibits nucleases in saliva and stabilizes saliva (sputum) DNA. DNA samples in the preservation tube can be stored and transported for up to 1 year at room temperature. The extracted DNA is compatible with a wide range of downstream genetic assays, including PCR, microarray analysis, and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS).

◎ The collection funnel is mainly manufactured from medical-grade polystyrene (PS) for saliva (sputum) collection. The DNA sample preservation tube is made of PET polymer material, pre-set with negative pressure and pre-filled with 1mL of DNA preservation solution, intended for the collection and preservation of saliva (sputum) samples.

◎ This product is suitable for the collection, preservation and transportation of DNA samples for hereditary disease screening, genomic testing and disease detection.
